This is the end of a business trip. I want to have fun but I am a Texan and have never visited HK before. Can you advise me?

Everyone is china speaks English, the teach it there like mandarin now. I went to china over the summer, although I am Chinese everyone speak English. So everyone in hong kong should, especially since they were part of the UK. Watch out though if you don't look Asian (or even if you do) you are a targeted for pickpocketing. Hong Kong has everything otherwise. BUT I MUST STRESS PICKPOCKETS!!!!!
Many Amusement parks, Restaurants, shopping.. you name it. BEST OF LUCK from a fellow Texan

It depends on what you like. Here are some suggestions:

1) Go to the races (horses, I mean). Nobody does races like they do in HK - the atmosphere is so tense and amazing, even the biggest hater of gambling will be feeling the excitement.

2) If you are into theme park fun - HK has a "seaworld" equivalent - I think its called HK Waterpark or something like that.

3) There's the HK seafood restaurant on water - the restaurant is a boat. I'm not sure about bookings, you'll need to talk to someone local

Have fun! How I envy you!

hong kong is my favorite country!!! if you decide to come there, you have had the perfect choice...:)
i always go there twice in a year ...
i love the fresh air, environment, friendly businessmen, cool breeze, pleasant smile, shopping, sceneries...
i am recommending shamrock hotel and or marco polo gateway... it's up to your budget but these hotels have the most complete service, courteous and polite staff, 24 hrs service...
What I recommend you to go to :
1. Kowloon for shopping
2. Central for shopping
3. Ocean park/Disneyland if you want to act and feel like a kid
4. Avenue of Stars and Clock Tower for cool air and relaxing atmosphere
5. The Victoria Harbour for Symphony of Lights at 8 nightly
6. Tian Tan Buddha Lantau island

** Don't join any tours, it's a waste of time! they most of the time come in late and you will not be satisfied!

HOWDY!Lol soz

If you like theme parks you should go to Ocean Park - itz real cool but don't go to Disneyland HK! You won't be able to finish all of Ocean Park...
You should go shopping! The shopping is really good.
Go have dim sum for lunch if you haven't tried it before!
Don't worry about a language barrier coz most of the people can speak English though it may sound funny lol
