This time of year, it's hard to tell.

Arguably, english as second language immigrants, who don't know that it's legal to turn right on red unless otherwise posted, or legal to turn left on green if traffic's clear without an arrow, unless otherwise posted.

Rednecks that think that driving on surface streets should be as laissez faire as nascar racing, morons trying to get their shopping done before Christmas and presuming that you'll be able to dodge them, landscaping crews in a hurry to get their per diem pay and dragging a trailer full of mowers and weed eaters that isn't equipped with lights, dump truck drivers getting paid by the load, soccer moms trying to make it to the mall before the next fad toy sells out, (so it can later be found to be full of lead,) sorrority girls text messaging to let all their friends know they're back in town for the holidays, travellers running late for flights, and people yapping on their cell phones simply because they have them; any one of them will kill you because they're too wrapped up in what they're doing, trying to do, or communicating with a friend to actually pay any attention to what's going on around them in traffic.

Buckle up, let your phone go to voice mail, drive defensively.

I say the residents of the southern half of Orange County, California, commonly known as South Orange County, which contains such cities as Mission Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Beach, parts of Irvine, San Clemente, and Foothill Ranch. It's the only geographical area I have ever driven in that actually scares me. It is the only place where I have seen an SUV upside down on the sidewalk, totally alone, and the mother with her kid standing next to the wrecked vehicle crying into a cell phone.

Around here it has been teen drivers. We have, unfortunately, lost several young people over the past few years.

Certain heritages seem to drive different...In NYC, Asian mens seems to drive very slow and cautious while the women will cut people off and take chances....Spanish men will also drive very slow, not neccessarily being careful but slow....for years, any cars with 'MD' plates usually are unexperienced drivers....Personally, I find that older people in their 80's cause more accidents only because of their poor driving techniques....

please don't say fast drivers, because i do 90+mph on highways, and never an accident or ticket, because I'm always ahead of my game, watch the rear, side, and front.

worst driver probably those azzholes doing 60 or 70 on the left lane. It's very dangerous, and it also causes major traffic delay.

Typically, I think females are worse drivers than males. If you're thinking state-wise, then definitely people from Florida.

There used to be a number of traditional answers to that, but based on the news, it must be Californians. In spite of all the agony, people still insist on living there.
