Vista Minimize Taskbar?

Question

In XP, I could take the taskbar and actually DRAG it down.
NOT TALKING ABOUT AUTOHIDE.
Like, I want to MANUALLY drag it down and hide it.
And if something, for example a chat window, becomes "active" and starts glowing orange, if I have autohide on, the taskbar just pops up again.

I think with Vista they did away with the ability to resize the taskbar to nothing. It was kind of nice to be able to do but a quirk I think.

I could not find any way to do it on my Vista machine but I don't use it very much. You might try searching the Vista help system for resizing the taskbar.
