how do i fix a scratched ps2 game??

i bought guitar hero 2 from some guy at a yard sale but its scratched
when i turn on the ps2 and i put it in everything looks normal like it comes out in the browser then when im about to play it the ps2 logo comes out then its all black

GameStop sells a good scratch remover.

But if you don't want to buy, might I suggest a Colgate. I have tried it and it does work like new. Don't put TOO much on it. Just a little bit, enough to cover the scratches. It'll work like new.

I hear toothpaste works. Google it if you want a more precise way to do it, but you spread it around, and it should kinda like sand it smooth getting the scratches out. Or use a commercial scratch remover...

i had the same problem
im pretty sure
i restarted the ps2 and then go onto your memory card.
and click on a few games and then go back and the disc with appear and it should work

this sounds really weird but it does work.....


you have to wash the disc as if it was a plate, like with dishwashing soap and then just let it dry! it should work fine after that! =]
