I am not a heavy drinker, I might have a couple of drinks during a meal. I usually do not retain fluid, though when I drink a little more (like in a party) I´ve noticed my legs swell.
It is not a big problem, except I wish I could have a couple of drinks AND sleep through the night. Any comments, advice?

Alchohol is a diaretic. It will dehydrate you.

If you drink lots of water it might help, but you'll have to pee it all out b4 bedtime.

Not uncommon.
Alcohol drives water out of the body.

I don't know about the legs swelling, sounds more like you're getting pretty messed up and seeing things.
