So I bought this pair of track spikes on ebay. the seller had a 0 rating but i wanted to take the risk. it's only 31 dollars, what the hell. I send the payment through paypal. How do I know if he got the payment or not? What does it mean when it says 'The recipient of this payment is Unverified' ?

That usually means he is new and when you open an account with paypal (when you are new) they deposit a small deposit into your account and you notify them that your bank got the ??? 26 cents or whatever it was. That way pay pal knows you are who you say and that the account you set up with them is good. So I'm assuming he is so new he has not had the time to "verify" his account.

It means he's never done a transaction. You'll be helping to verify him. Your PayPal history should tell you what's been sent and received. In ebay, your item should also automatically get marked as "payment sent" or something.
