He absolutely did the right thing. It had to have been hard for him though because it was his daddys company. He will do just fine at HMS but remember he has 2 other teammates that are better than him. It will be interesting next year thats for sure.

Dale Jr. has to start winning races or he will begin to lose fans. The advantage to moving to another organization will be that he will know whether it was his equipment or his style of racing that caused him so much trouble in 2007. If he starts blowing engines and having other mechanical failures at HMS, then he will have to adjust his style of driving. I'm not sold on the 'conspiracy theory' that Teresa gave him faulty equipment just so he would lose races.
I don't see the move hurting him in any way, though.

while you're a real Jr fan, you will not care that he's at HMS. A sponsorship is $$$. everyone desires $$$$. What i elect to work out is Jr in the #8 Bud because of the fact this is his identity. in spite of the shown fact that this is going to likely be as much as NASCAR, the vendors and the sponsors to artwork this out. remember its all with regard to the money. i think of that Teresa E will supply up the #8. She's made maximum of blunders. There must be somebody obtainable attempting to actual her wrongs. Or it would desire to be a #5 Budweiser! could that be so undesirable? Budweiser and Jr pass hand-in-hand. or #25. enable Casey force the #5 like his father. yet he does not elect to be in his fathers shadow not extra suitable than Jr does. So my answer is signing with Sony - till it turn into the #8 Sony. Jr might desire to force distinctive automobile for various races like Jeff does. this is impressive to have a lot of sponsors. pass HMS!!! #5, #24, #25, #40 8. i'm waiting till all this shakes out to place new numbers on my automobile. only bought a sparkling Honda Accord!! this is great have 4 drivers to direction for. will enhance the opportunities to be celebrating in Victory lane.

Without a doubt, Hendrick motors dont blow up every race. What a team Look for them to win 80% of the races in 2008.

Well, now that he is on a team that defently has the resources, and is right now on top of its game, he SHOULD be able to win more races now, and the move SHOULD work to his advantage.

As I (and many others) have said, if he posts the same results as he has been posting the past couple of seasons, then it will be proven that Jr is nothing more than a hack with his dad's name.

I say Dale Jr`s move will definitely be to his advantage,
It will be to Rick Hendrick`s advantage,
Only one to lose on this deal is Budweiser,,,,,,,,
And it wouldn`t bother me to see them go belly up
bad part about that is , there would be lots of people out of work.

I believe it will. If anything he'll have more focus as he won't have to deal with the inner squabbaling he's had to put up with/probably at times caused within DEI (goes with the territory when family is invloved) .

Anyways, Rick has gone on record to say that he'll do everything in his power to make Jr's car competitive. I don't expect Jr to set the world on fire but, it'll definetly be a better year than 2007 for him. I'm happy enough knowing that.

I like Jr but I predict he wins maybe one race in 2008. I really think he's over rated as a driver. He is nothing like his dad when it comes to driving talent.

You better believe HMS is going to give him the best they have. The popularity and marketability of Jr is so profitable, they are going to do everything they can to give him cars that will keep him in the top 10 spots or better. JJ got all of little Jeffy's hand me downs and dominated. Now Jr will get JJ's race proven technology. I bet Jr even gets one of JJ's cars that ran 2007 races.

I don't see how this could not help him. How many HMS cars had DNFs due to engine failures??

I have not watched a race in the past season and a half. I was/am a big Jr. fan. I will attempt to watch this upcoming season for the sole reason that JR is now with a team that will give a rats a$s about him and actually give him the support he deserves. It got old watching him pour his heart into the team and not have much of anything to back up his level of enthusiasm.

Why wouldn't it? With HMS having the best cars, personnel and overall resources in NASCAR I don't see how it could be a bad move for him. He WILL win more races now than he has in the recent past.
