I know what your saying.
I admire some women at work so much and hope I never loose them.
Put in the letter specifically what you admire about them.
Acts/ The way she carries herself/ etc.
They will appreciate it so much.

That's really nice of you.
Best Wishes

Dear Jane/John,

I would like to take this opportunity to express to you how much I have enjoyed working with you. You have taught me many things over the course of our time together. I admire the way you ------------------ (things that you admire)

While I am saddened at your leaving I wish you only the best in your new positon. They have truly gained an asset while we have lost one.

(If you are friendly you can enclose contact information for yourself) If not simply close the letter with
My warmest Regards

Think greeting card.
Maybe something blank inside, that you can write in.
If you're writing a good-bye letter,
don't give it at a party or going away.
It's something you'd give at a time when others aren't around.
But, this has risks.
Consider something short and sweet, so as not to be misconstrued.

Find a greeting card that is closest to how you feel. Add a handwritten note saying that you admire the person and why and how you've learned from him/her.

Well, you start out by letting them know you will miss them, tell them what you have enjoyed about working with them (professionally and personally). Tell them the things that you know will be an asset on their new position and wish them well in their new position. Let them know what your e-mail is (if they don't have it) and tell them that you would like them to keep in touch from time to time.

1. get a Hallmark card so you just have to sign your name.
2. don't write anything, offer your best wishes in person
3. why are you so stuck on this? maybe you do dig this person more than you admit
