I need a flight out of south Florida for the holidays and the earliest flights I can get home without being kicked out of where I'm staying leave from Palm Beach to NY at 9:50pm and then the connecting flight is at 5:40am the next day...that means you have to sleep in the airport right? What happens to your luggage? Staying here one more night would cost the equivalent to two plane tickets!

I can't leave any earlier, I'm cheating with 9:50 anyway since thats when my last meeting is scheduled to end.

You can usually check your bags all the way through; you'll check them in when you get to the airport and not see them again until you arrive home.

But just in case, I usually take a Clothesline or thick cord in my suitcase. If I have to claim it and sleep in the airport, I pop open my bag and get the cord. Loop it through the bag handle and through your belt loop, pull some extra (So you can move around a bit) then tie the ends together. I do that and then I can sleep, knowing my bag is still gonna be there when I wake up.

Yep, lose the room and go to the airport and check your luggage and SEE IF THERE IS AN EARLIER FLIGHT. Some times there are ways to get out early.

Your baggage should be checked through, and yes, you'll have to sleep at the airport, unless you want the hassle of going to a nearby hotel for a few hours of sleep.

My friend, both JFK and LaGuardia are open around the clock, they never close. Also, in regard to flying out of JFK or LaGuardia, my advice is to flight out of JFK, since you're landing there in the first place. Good luck and happy travels
