No, it's called responsibility!
Let me guess, you're the one who wanted the dog in the first place, and now you don't take care of it!

lol...
no...
that's what jackets are for.
but walking the dog in the dark at 8:45 pm even when its cold outside, is not abuse.
oh though it might be considered abuse to make the dog wait until 7:30 the next morning to go pee... or to sleep in a messy bed... or get punished for messing the floor... when the situation could've been avoided w/ a simple quick brisk albeit chilly walk...

No, and bundle up if it's cold. If it were alright with your dad for you to go to the mall or where ever with your friends and you had to walk you wouldn't hesitate would you? You said it was "your" dog. Pets need to be exercised, fed, do their business (preferably outside), etc. they are a big responsibility. Do the right thing and walk your dog without being asked. It will bond with you better and you might learn some responsibility by being a good pet owner.

Not in my mind. Do you have the proper clothing to go outside in that weather? Who do you think it would not be abusing to have to walk the dog? If you are just as capable of walking the dog as your parents are then it is not child abuse -- it is responsibility. Dress warmly and go out earlier if you can or get someone to go with you so you won't be afraid of the dark. Do you have a flash light?

No it is not child abuse. The dog has to be taken out to go to the bathroom. We all have to learn responsibility.

no not at all! child abuse would be beating you which you may need if you were asked to do it earlier and did not that's your fault next time maybe you will do it a little earlier and take my word one day you will look back and thank your dad for making you do it and be responsible i know from experience!! God Bless you and your family!!

Not if you have warm clothes to wear and you are not walking the dog for a VERY long time. Dogs need to go out even when it is cold... so if you want the dog you signed up for it.

where you supposed to walk the dog earlier? maybe you should do it earlier in the day so it's not as cold or dark...but if you have a dog, walking it is a responsibility...i personally wouldn't make my daughter do it at night unless i went with her, but maybe he's trying to prove a point about being responsible?

Maybe if you're 4!
But, since you're on here, working the internet, I would doubt you're four. So, no it's not child abuse. It's expecting you to be responsible for your dog.

LOL no. You have a pet you need to be responsible. As long as you are not too young to walk alone it is about responsibility. Ask him to come with you next time. Make it a bonding time

Hun, he's your dog your the one who has to take care of him ( this isn't some * mean old lady* saying this either I'm 15). I have a dog too ( her names CoCo) & do you think I want to take her outside to go to the bathroom, when I'm tired & it's cold? Not really but I suck it up, & do it. It dosn't take that long, just buddle up.
