what is a can crusher?why do we use it? does it decrease friction? Is it easier to work with?if it is why????

It crushes cans that are to recycled so that they are easier to transport and store.

It is a lever device in which the pivot point is a hinge at the end. The can is placed near that hinge (short lever arm) and the long lever arm is where you press down to crush it. You are multiplying the force you apply by the ratio of those two lever arms. For example if you have a can one foot from the hinge and you press down on the lever which is five feet long you have five times the effectiveness of your muscle effort.
