I have an Xbox360 w/ HD cords (component)...I have an HD tv w/ the hd components on the back?

I dont have HD cable...its just an HD tv...if i plug in the component cords in the back of the tv....will my xbox be in HD???

I did it...and nothing looked different!

CC Rep is correct:

- Set the cable to "HD"

- Go into the xbox setup and pick 480p, 720 or 1080 (depending upon what your TV internal format is).

Also - some TV's have 1 component input that only takes 480 p or i, and the other component inputs take 720 or 1080.

yeah you need to switch the settings on the dashboard to HD, also if you havent already on the cable is a switch that says normal and HD, switch it to HD
