I'm a lover not a fighter so usually neither but no one gets through life without running into disagreements or adversaries. In that case I take the open and up front approach any day. In the slap you right back case depending on the prior relationship and nature of the disagreement and how it was resolved the relationship might even be salvageable. In the latter instance once someone stabs me in the back the trust is gone forever.

Considering that I don't go around slapping people, I have no worries about being slapped back. A lot of those others will stab you in the back anyway. Enough said. *bows*
EDIT: OK, I admit that I may have whacked a few people in my day. BUT THEY DESERVED IT! lol
Have a nice day.

Well---great question. Usually I don't slap folks but if you insist that I do---I would rather have someone slap me back. At least it is over and done. More injury can follow a backbiting someone or another who will mealy mouth you all over town. So---yep---slap and be slapped and not mugged mentally.
Thanks for asking. Just my opinion of course.

I would rather have to deal with neither (boy is that bad grammar or what)
The person who turns the other cheek and FORGETS it is the one I want to deal with. There is only one person who has ever done this in the entire history of the world in my opinion, and that was Jesus himself.
Every one of us is guilty of one or both of the other two, whether we know it or not, and whether we like it or not.
blessings :)

Since neither scenario is compatible with the way I roll...I'll just watch...I've always been a sucker for good slapstick.
...man I miss the Stooges...and also Iggy Pop.

I've dealt with all types. But they all have one thing in common - They are all un-loved. And they all just need the heavy hand of God in their life, counseling, meds, or combinations of all of the above.
