my dad just put some allergy eye drops in because his eyes were red and irritated, and after putting them in his eyes really hurt. he had to wash them out with some warm water. is it normal for them to sting?

its normal for it to sting but it should go away in a couple of seconds. if it stung that made it hurt really really bad, then the eye drops might be old so throw it awat. but make sure to check the expiration date to make sure! also it could just be his allergies.

I use prescription eye drops for dry eyes and the drops always sting when I first put them in. I assume it's normal.

it's normal for them to sting, yes, but not so much that it's unbearable.

it depends some time it dose and others it dose. but normaly thats regular
