Do you have money? You could join a dance club or gymnastics or rock climbing gym. Go to the local high school pool. Go for a walk or sled. Were you ever a child? Didn't you have fun riding your bike or swinging or just running around? Climb a tree , read a book go to the library. It is probably freezing there huh. It is in Alaska ( where I am) I hate it but there is still places to go. How about a book store or a cafe. Try to meet some guys. Tell yourself you are going to talk to 5 guys no matter what even if their ugly and build your confidence.(be careful though).Go volunteer at an old folks home or shelter . Adopt a little brother/sister through the big brother big sister program. Play an instrument or get a part time job. Put together a puzzle or learn something that you've always wanted to learn.Cook a home cooked meal instead of the quick fix $h*t you probably eat. Clean your house or yard. Study for your next probable assignment, Go to a roller rink or ice pond.Have a snowball fight with friends or some of the little neighborhood kids. They'll think your cool.Have fun. WHIPEEEEEEE!!!!!!Also you can appreciate the silence. Meditate and live in the moment. You don't always have to DO something. Still thy mind grass hoppa.

Hi,
I am a guy living in Canada. Here's my view. At your age, you are at school during the day, right? It is perfectly alright to watch TV and go on the internet. We are living in a world where we cannot escape media and other social activities. Don't you need to use the computer to do your school work? Of course you need to do your homework, otherwise how do you suceed in life? If I were you, I would do the homework stuff first and then watch TV and go to computer since that what you like to do for an enjoyment when you have nothing to do.
Good Luck!

As strange as it may sound, volunteering might be a good idea. While you will probably have to schedule it in advance, it will help occupy your time in a productive way, help others (which will make you feel good), and it'll look great on college applications. There are TONS of places looking for volunteers who have all kinds of interests.

Another thing you could try is learning something new, such as photography, how to knit, how to cook, how to play chess. There's so much to do, trust me!

Try something artistic: Polymer clay, collages, altered books. Do it for yourself and for your enjoyment. Nothing has to look professional or even good enough to show anyone else. Creating something always gives you a reason for getting through that day.

You could read a book, go for a jog, go see a movie, get a group of friends and just hang out, find some new bands to listen to, or you could play some fun internet games.
