I am upgrading from a small car to an SUV, I am very interested in purchasing a Jeep, possibly tomorrow actually. However, I have 2 children and one on the way, which is the main reason I am switching, also I want 4-wheel drive for the winter. My question and main concern is.. will the jeep fit 3 carseats in the backseat? Does anyone own one that has 3 kids. Thanks in advance!

Yes you can fit them. It will be VERY tight. If one of the kids in a booster, it will make it a bit eaiser. We have 4 kids. Twins and a little guy in a booster style. They fit, but it is tight.

I think that having three across would not be an ideal situation, especially if you have the ability to choose otherwise. There will come a time in the very near future where you will wish you had additional seating options. Have you consider a 7 passenger SUV, maybe a Durango?

Yes they're very roomy. Great in the winter, and will go anywhere. My Jeep Grand Cherokee is full time 4WD and with the 4.0L straight 6 engine I average 22-24MPG city/highway mix, and I don't drive it very easy either and I offroad with it quite a bit. Mine is a 96 with over 189,000 miles on it and still runs great, its more reliable than my 2006 chevy cobalt.
