I was dumped a few weeks ago and despite feeling alone I am sad because I dont want to be alone at Christmas time. I do have to admit that the sadness has made me look a whole better in my new dress for New Years, but I have no place to wear it, so sad..... Please help me figure this out because I live in NJ and work in Manhattan and there's so many happy couples around.........

I know your pain.I filed for a divorce on my birthday 5 days before Christmas. I know what you are feeling when you are alone for the holidays when everyone else seems to be so happy during these times.I wish I could tell you what to do to feel better but everyone deals with heart break so differently.I guess I would suggest to you to just surround yourself with people that are close to you and that know what you are going through and to have as much fun that you could possibly stand.Just get out and have a great time and forget what you are going through even if it is for a short time.Always remember that time heals all sorrows and always keep in mind that the Lord will never give you more than you can handle alone. this is the worst time of year for people to be alone simply because there are so many happy couples around but if you have a group of friends that you can hang out with, do that for the holidays. I don't know if it is feasible but it might be interesting to take an ad out somewhere in a paper there and find a group of others who will be alone for the holidays and if you come up with enough names you may be able to find a place to have a singles party where all those who would normally be alone can get together and have a party. If nothing else, I normally don't do a lot on Holidays anymore so if you see me online, I will spend at least some of the holidays with you :)

I think that guys who are into .... "dump her before Christmas so I don't have to spend a lot of money on an expensive present" .... are lower than low and this one has shown his true colors. Be glad he's gone and don't fall for it when he comes back after holidays with the old "I missed you so" bit. You can do better.

get together with a really good group of freinds, and go party....you might meet soemone new on New Years eve and spend the rest of 2008 + with him...dont get sad....just have fun with your girls!!!
