I'm sorry to ruin your idea of happiness and wetness, but the preacher held me down too long. I came up choking. And called him a really bad name once I got all the water out to my lungs.
Not a good way to start your day of baptismal, let me tell you.
Old habits die hard.

I felt the Holy Spirit take by burden away. I felt the love of the Lord and a lot of peace. It was the wonderful feeling I have ever had in my life. I still get that feeling sometimes. Especially when I pray to Jesus. He will never leave me and I had the same feeling when I was born again. May 9th 1990. When I took the Lord in as my Savior. The best thing I have ever done in my life.
I am truly blessed

From the time that I accepted Christ as my Savior, I am becoming a new person- I felt for the very first time in my life that I actually was forgiven- when I as baptized- I did this out of obedience to my God, and testimony to the truth that I was crucified with Christ, as I went under that water, and risen with Christ as I came up out of the water. Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change- so baptism is done out of love for God and obedience to Him. I did know when I was baptized that I was pleasing God, and that brought joy to my heart.

No. I don't remember my first Baptism since I was too young at the christening. Later, when I was baptized at a Southern Baptist Church they had a bright blue kiddie pool behind the window and it really sent home the idea that it was kind of a facade for a cheesy version of reality. Later on, I decided to baptize myself as a realist by going out and playing in the rain. That one did feel cool.

No I didn't feel anything. I was already saved or born again anyway which is the true baptism of the Holy Spirit. Water baptism is just a showy way to say "Hey I am a christian now." Most of the time they aren't christians after all. They thought if they got baptized they would be saved. It's just an outward expression but inward most of them are without Christ and will not see the Kingdom of God.

I personally felt a sense of deep satisfaction. Having baptized a few folks and having seen many, there have been all sorts of feelings and occurrences both during and after a baptism.

I accepted Jesus Christ and felt a change in myself. I was baptized as an act of obedience. But being baptized is different from accepting Christ into you life

When I was babtizes, all I felt is was cold, I already felt the joy of the Holy Spirit inside me. I was babtized in an outside pool that was built for babtizing, and filled with water by a hose. My brothers decided to fill it with dry ice about an hour before I was babtized.

To be honest I didn't even know what the hell it was. I thought they dumped your axe in the river and made you swim back. If you made it, congrates, your a Christian. You didn't...well, I guess you didn't believe.
But it was really just a few drops on the head and the "blessing" ( I'll call it that..) during. I felt relieved, that's for sure. And you keep the candle for some strange reason...
