Treatment of Minorities in Islamic countries?

Question

Why are non-Muslims not given the opportunity to practice their religion freely in Islamic countries,but Muslims demand religious freedom in lands where they are the minority ?
No (or very little)religious freedom for Minorities in Pakistan or Saudi Arabia , but they want freedom of religion in Europe,India,USA,Canada etc?
Why this double standard ?

Now, out of the world's 39 "Muslim" countries, you were only able to come up with two that didn't allow freedom of religion... and yet you blame the entire Muslim world? Now does that make much sense?

That is 100% bull based on ignorance and lies. Minorities has their own places of worship in Pakistan and no body stops them to practice their religion. Pakistan has relatinship with America and minorities specially Christians see lots of white people coming and going. So they ***** about it hoping that they will get visa to get our of a poor country and will have better life in USA. This is the only reason they makes false stories. Poverty os being faced by 95% of Muslims also. If US wants to give them visa to leave Pakistan, Pakistan have no objection. If American public wants to send them money for better life, Pakistan will welcome that also being good for its economy. There are millions of hungry Christians in Africa starving for food. If US public help them it will be nice thing to do. We see in American restaurants people by 1/2 and 2/3rd plate full and throw the food away. That much food can feed entire Africa. American don't need to eat that much and get fater and fater.

Muslims never complain that they don't have freedom of religion in Europe, India, USA or Canada. I wonder where you hear such lies.

Non Muslims are 2nd class citizens at best in Saudi Arabia they are not permitted to worship even privately.

We should not let up in demanding that Muslim regimes and societies treat others the way they demand that muslims be treated by Non muslim societies

Muslims never seem to be willing to apologize for mistreatment of Non Muslims in the Muslim World and their demands for full liberty in the West without demanding equal rights fro non Muslims.

Please remember that millions of people from other religions have always lived under Islamic rule and rulers for centuries. Only the less knowlegeable people or those who are subjected to intense propaganda and can not think for themselves would believe that other faiths have not lived in peace or thrived under Muslim rule or governments.

Saudi Arabia has always been a largely Muslim country, as it had neither oil nor any kind of physical comfort for centuries. Most of the Saudis used to live as nomads, and many used to depend on the Hajj pilgrims for their sustenance, and thus were largely Muslims. How many Muslims would depend on the handouts of the pilgrims visiting the Pope or people visiting Benares for their Hindu pilgrimage. So, the reason a vast majority in Saudi Arabia is Muslim is because of the weather and the conditions there more so than any religious prejudice. Until oil came, no one cared to come to Saudi Arabia except Muslims and even they went only to Mecca and Medina. Lastly the Saudi brand of Islam is unique to Saudi Arabia only, and has been unfortunately nurtured by the British and the Americans to give Islam a bad face. There was no Wahabi or Salafi Islam even in Saudi Arabia until Lawrence of Arabia came and tried to give rise to this intolerant streak in the Muslim polity to fight Turkish empire. It is indeed an irony almost all nineteen terrorists who did 911 were Saudis, whose rulers are friends of George Bush and the Queen of England.

In contrast countries such as India which was ruled by Muslims for a thousand years has a vast Hindu majority, who are in tact in their religious beliefs, in continuing their religious practices and no one can say there was an interruption or disruption in their day to day life for an average Hindu person/family for centuries. Until the British came and did their little divide and conquer/rule intrigue, Muslims and Hindus used to live in peace. Young people forget that. Even emperors who would be considered "extremely intolerant" such as Aurangzeb, had Hindu generals and armies fighting for his government and many of the Rajput rulers continued to have their power, honor and prestige, even after they had lost to the Muslim rulers centuries ago. Find out the facts.

Most Arab nations have had vast numbers of Christians, Jews and others living in peace, again over centuries. The Christians & Jews of Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Iran, Turkey, Yemen etc. are clear proof that minorities lived and thrived, let alone survived centuries of Muslim rule in the heart of the Islamic nations. How can anyone say other religions have not lived in peace and freedom among Muslims.

In contrast, until the reawakening, Europe has seen some of the most repugnant intolerance in one country after another. Jews and Muslims were burnt alive or expelled when Spain was taken over by the Christians. Bosnia even in this day and age saw ethnic cleansing at a scale that can not be imagined in the heart of Europe. Israel continuously and constantly abuses the Palestinians who have lived in that nation for centuries, as soon as the Jewish people took over. In Gujrat India, the Hindu extremists tried to do ethnic cleansing of Muslims from that State, as soon as a religious government took over.

The only places where there is toleration today are nations who have a "secular" government and have separation of Church and State where many religions can live together in peace as per state policy. In contrast, religious governments from Islamic nations have always not only tolerated but protected other religions because Islam teaches us that Allah/God is the maker, nourisher and provider for one and all. No Muslim can pretend to be greater than Allah/God, as our statement time and again signifies which is Allahu Akbar, that is the Almighty is Greater than anything and everything.

USA, Canada, Europe today are secular, claiming no preference to religion, thus the tolerance. When these areas were controlled by Christians, then the American Indians were not tolerated and almost totally wiped out in a mere two hundred years or less. Their religion is almost totally GONE!!. The aborigines of Australia and New Zealand are gone, so are the pre-christian religions in Russia. Not so in India, where Hindu religion still thrives even after one thousand plus years of Islamic rule during an era before UN and Human Rights Watch etc. Islam has largely followed tolerance, with occasional intolerant rulers, and that is a fact.

So, be fair!! True some extremists in Afghanistan, Pakistan and other regions have abused the rights that Allah has given to one and all. But, some of these extremists in my personal belief were given power to defame Islam by those who disliked Islam to begin with and it back fired on them. Remember that the Budha Statues were not defaced even after 1200 plus years of Islamic rule. If these were to be removed, the Lord knows they would have been defaced within a century after Islam came to Afghanistan in 700 AD or so. It is much easier to destroy and "mine" than to build a Taj Mahal!

Do not judge all of Islam and its long and open history by what some extremist jerks do in one or two places, unless you are so influenced by prejudice and propaganda that you can not discern the truth.

Please don't ask questions that come out of prejudice, if you really want to know, education yourself about the facts.
