Christians believe in Satan. I dont know where the chemists are comming from. Christians do not believe in Witches. Witches are believed to possess supernatural powers. There is not such thing in Christianity, there are only 'miracles'. And yes, they are different.

The simple answer is no. Christians do not believe that Witches are in league with the devil. They believe they are misled. Just like they don't believe a thief or a murderor is in league with the devil; just misled. The reason they believe these things is because thier Bible says witchcraft is evil. It doesn't say anything about chemists, so they are o.k. with them.

However this is not what you should be arguing, because it is not the big misconception behind the Christians and other religions hatred toward the practice of witchcraft. The real misconception is that most religions have Holy people, Saints, ect in there holy books that use Witchcraft. This is especially true about the Christians.

Here are a few examples of some Saints and to the true Christians out there you will know who the people are

a dream reader
a fortune teller
a spell caster (changing water to blood, his staff into a snake, ect.)
a person that healed the sick
a person that found magical waters
a person that saw signs
a person that cast out demons
I could go on and on, but I think you get my point.

I am all religions and study them all in depth

Probably because when it was put into the bible Chemists were also lumped under the title Witch! Witches are not Satan worshipers nor are they in league with Satan! The Church did that because they say Witches, women, scientist (etc.) as threats to their existence and so lumped them together and said they were all in League with the Devil! Too bad people still say these things to this day because many pastors, preachers and the like can't get out of the dark ages and accept that there are people who believe in another path to the Creator!

satan is in league with both. and the Bible says

Deuteronomy 18:10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.
Deu 18:11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
Deu 18:12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

That includes alchemists

If they don't believe in witches, then explain that to Joan of Ark, and also explain the Europe and American witch trials.

The chemists who invent and manufacture drugs like LSD, Ecstacy, and crack cocaine are in league with the devil.

The bible doesn't condone stoning anyone. Unless, of course, you are "without sin!"
