What an awesome question.
To be humble means to totally rely on God and know that all you have comes from Gods provision and grace.
To be humble means you are nothing without God and apart from Him you can do nothing John 15:5
The book of Romans 12:16 says Do not be proud but be willing to associate with people of low position do not be conceited.
I was in a ministry of 13 years where people were poor some of them were unkind and did not smell very proper but God taught me that the poor you will always have with you and the people who are the least of these need the encouragement and love the most see Matthew 25:40.
I did not always like being in this ministry it was very hard and demanding before I moved out west I prayed to the Lord to leave that church and his answer was no.
God loves us but we do not get to choose who we minister to that is Gods job not ours. I since moved away and even though I did not like always being at my former church I learned a lot of life lessons that I will always treasure.
Be encouraged and know that God honors a pure and willing heart to serve Him. This was one of the BEST questions I EVER seen on this site e4g

to be like a little child, is to have complete trust and complete love for everyone, and without fear, --- a little child that has never been abused has no fear of anyone or anything and doesn't know what a stranger is, all people are the same to them. no one is ugly to them, and color means nothing for they don't even know what color them themselves are. but it is the love they have for everyone they see.
It is the wonder, awe, trust, hope, & unpretentiousness knowing that God loves us and will lead us. It is AUTHENTIC, REAL, terribly HONEST, so SIMPLISTIC, and HUMBLE. Because we have FAITH that He WILL take care of us! And in turn, He empowers us with His Spirit to lead victorious lives!

We should not be proud or boastful, after all we are all sinners and only by The Grace of God, and the Gift of Jesus are we even here, we should put others first, and realize we don't deserve anything, it is through Gods mercy that we are here.

I think that it means that to each other some of us are better than others eg. prettier, smarter, funnier. To God we are all the same.He loves us all.
