I looked at the local book store in the children's section. They did not have any but directed my to the 'New Age' section. I can look through what they offer but I am hoping to get some recommendations as well.

I am not messing with anyone. I am serious about my request and I appreciate those of you that provided a serious answer with their response. Saying ‘Witchcraft’ is evil is not acceptable. Quoting from the Bible is ignorant. Witchcraft is a form of Spiritualism. It is not evil nor is it the worship of demons or devils. Frank, Mike, Lynn, Molly, bandaidgirl; you are all wacko! Please educate yourselves so that you can answer questions like mine intelligently.

Personally, I would stay away from anything by Fiona Horne as her sense of ethics are quite questionable. Silver Ravenwolf tends to be too commercialized. And I would avoid anything with those "fluffy bunny" names as they will most likely be all about magic and spells and contain little to nothing on the spirituality itself and the ethics of the Craft.
I have seen some good books for kids when my niece was 10 and her Mom and I were perusing such books to sort out the "good" from the "garbage". Unfortunately, I can't remember any of the names as that was several years ago.
Rather hard to answer this question with specific recommendations not knowing the age of the children and their reading level.
Perhaps you could check out The Wiccan/Pagan times (link below) for recommendations. Many authors and books are reviewed there, and you should be able to purchase most any of them at amazon.com if you cannot find them locally.
(This was obviously the wrong place to ask this question as you're just going to get the Bible thrown at ya. People, parents have the right to raise their children in whatever faith they choose!)
Edit: silversky and others who think this - we do not "shove" our beliefs down our childrens' throats - most of us teach them of our beliefs (as would any parent of any other faith) - but those parents of the Craft that I know also encourage their children to learn about many world religions, and know that it will be up to their child to choose the path they walk when they are of age. It is not our way to preach, try to convert, or decide what is spiritually right or wrong for another. But to answer honest questions like this gentleman has asked? Sure. No harm in helping someone who has asked for that help. (And notice nowhere in my answer did I say you *must* do this or that - merely provided my personal opinions and a suggestion, see the wording.) Your opinions are fine, but really, nowhere in his question do I see him asking for Bible quotes.
There really is no need to throw the Bible at us and feed us your misinformed views on the "evils" of Witchcraft. You don't see me answering any of your Christian oriented questions with a statement like, "OH NO! You're totally wrong! Turn to the Goddess before it's too late, or you will never gain admittance to the Summerland when you die!" Please. Let's all try to respect each others differences.

Usually you can only find books on witchcraft in the new age section. However , finding a local new age or spiritual shop would be a good idea - these stores usually carry all sorts of spiritualities, including wiccan/pagan etc. If your looking for the black art side of spirituality you may find some trouble in a store,..
check online stores too.

The Bible is an excellent age appropriate book that explains about witchcraft.

There are not many age appropriate books that I know of, but if you go to this link, you can find resources who can give you more guidance. http://www.witchvox.com/lx/lx_parenting.html
I would not give too much heed to those who would tell you to avoid teaching your children about ANY subject, even if it is only what the basics are so that they know it is bad for them.
I also do not feel that giving children information on any religion is a bad thing so do not feel that you are leading them on an evil path

Why would you want to teach children about demons and cast spells? I agree with the guy who said there are NO APPROPRIATE books on witchcraft.
2Ch 33:6 And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

I've got no problem with Witchcraft, really, but I wouldn't suggest teaching it to your children (or who ever's children they are).
Wait until their older, then let them choose rather than shoving it down their throats.

I somehow get the impression that this guy is messing with you religious nuts. From your responses, I feel like I'm in a retarded ignorant hick Middle Age town that still thinks lightning is god being angry
There is no such thing as witchcraft. There are confused idiots who try to perform certain rituals but that's it.
And yes, Harry Potter isn't that bad I guess

Yeah, it's called the Bible, and it tells them how NOT to participate in witchcraft!!!!
Jesus said, "Anyone who causes one of these little ones to sin, might as well tie a millstone around their neck and cast themself into the sea."
Jesus is very angered by this!!!

Witchcraft is evil and will only destroy you or your children..............do you want them destroyed..............no, no, no.............get them into the Bible and let them have a chance of learning about how Jesus died for our sins so we may go to heaven one day.............there is nothing we can do to go to heaven but believe on the Lord Jesus Christ blood to wash our sins away for all eternity
