From my PERSONAL experiences...
I'd say, on a whole, they like themselves. BUT, most Christians I know (both JW and other) suffer one degree of depression or another. That could be for a number of reasons- past experiences, chemical imbalances, present trials. Many of us are also "sighing and groaning" over the condition of the world today and the way many "shepherds" mistreat their flock by teachings mistruths and outright lies about Jehovah God.
But suffering depression should in no way be interpreted as a lack of faith in God or weakness spiritually. Even the most faithful prophets had bad days and no one I've ever met has ever liked themselves 100% of the time. We just refuse to give up or blame God when we suffer and look forward to the "real life" God promises in the future.
Good question. I'm not sure why so many people seemed offended.

Psychologically speaking, I think they'd say that they like themselves, but more so in Christ.
Since theism hasn't been found to be a mental illness what else can I say?

I would say that some Christians like themselves more because they view themselves as superior to people that don't believe in the same religion.
Notice I said some. Not all.

We're all sinners, and we'll all die sinners. Christians wish to belief that they have changed their fate and that those who haven't aren't worth loving.
The joke is on them, for they are worshiping two Gods and by their own logic their faith in Christ is useless.
Psychologically speaking they are no better, no worse than the rest of us.

They like themselves. They believe the Lord when He said, that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. If you know what God thinks about you and how much God loves you then it is easy to accept yourself.

Psychologically speaking, it's not a good exercise to try to sort people into little boxes.
I wouldn't do it to atheists. Would you?

Christianity encourages self-hatred:
"Deny thy self"
"If your eye offends thee, pluck it out"
"Born in sin"
"Sinful nature"
"Fleshly desires"
"No one worthy, no not one"
"Falling short of the glory of God"
Look at the language provided by Goldyloxx.
It goes on and on. There is a lot of negative language in Christianity. It appeals to people with low self-esteem.

Actually, we are not to focus on ourselves, but on God. John 5:15 says "Apart from Me, you can do nothing."
