My wife of 11 years died a while back aged only 35. We were very much in love & very highly sexed & whilst I now feel ready (gagging) for a physical relationship I'm not ready for an emotional one or the pretence that the sex may lead to one. Do I spend cash that I can't really afford (would rather spend it on the kids) & go to an 'escort', or is there some sort of club/meeting place for people in similar position, with similar desires?

there maybe a group such as parents without partners or a single dads group. im sure within that group there would be many people in the same situation as you. call you local council or community centre, they may be able to put you in the right direction. spend the money on your kids, they are your life now, but try the groups..........my heart goes out to you

I wouldn't go with the escort route personally but there are plenty of clubs and Internet "dating" sites that will be able to help.
All depends on where you live but if you do a search on google then something will definitely come up.
Its normal that you are seeking someone for a physical relationship but if you just do some research, then you'll find plenty of other women in the same situation.

I would suggest that you join a dating service. Thats what my dad did and now he doesnt really have an emotional relationship, but a fun relationship. He also still has time for his four kids and he was goeing out on dates a lot. It doesnt cost much to join a dating service, and I think it would be best to just go out and have fun. By the way, my dad is 52 so dont have any trouble getting a cutie. My dad has had about 5. Hope that helps

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. If you aren't ready for an emotional relationship, maybe you should hold off on the sex. You don't want to stir up old demons prematurely. On the other hand, if you KNOW you're ready just go to a nice club. Find a drunk chick who only wants sex and go for it. Use a condom or two or three. :)

dude, don't lie to yourself, escort is just a soft word for WHORE! whores are NASTY! if you feel like you need to get rid of some poisons, just yank it. if you've been doin that for a while now, maybe you do need to think about another relationship. oh by the way, whores and skanks frequent the clubs. resturants, malls, department stores and even the grocery store are better places to find a nice lady w/o STD's!

what you need is a friend with benefits. there are people out there looking for this kind of arrangement. just be upfront with women and let them know you are looking for a friend with benefits and not ready for anything serious. stay away from escorts. you can find nice women coming out of relationships or in bad marriages who are looking for men like yourself. try dating sites.

i think you should take care of yourself until you are ready for a personal relationship. There are a lot of psychos, idiots, users, diseases out there waiting for you, and you need to get to know something about a person before you jump into bed with them.
