Jehovah's Witnesses typically refer to a booklet entitled "Examining the Scriptures Daily" for a biblical thought each day. The verse for November 27, 2007 is:

The one showing favor to the poor one is glorifying [his Maker].—Prov. 14:31.

While there are practical ways that a Christian can share material things with those in need, it is undeniable that the more long-term sharing concerns bible truth which can improve one's life for an eternity.

It made me think of the verses in Deuteronomy 30:

19 I do take the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you today, that I have put life and death before you, the blessing and the malediction; and you must CHOOSE life in order that you may keep alive, you and your offspring, 20 by loving Jehovah your God, by listening to his voice and by sticking to him; for he is your life and the length of your days, that you may dwell upon the ground that Jehovah swore to your forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to give to them.

Just as we can choose to serve our heavenly Father out of love for him, we can also choose whether to allow our compassion for fellow man to move us to be generous and considerate for those less fortunate.

I'm not Jehovah witness so I would need more detail to know Where you are comming from. The only reason that I would call myself a Jehovah Witness is because Jesus is Jehovah. Peace!!!
