Four year college degree is preferred at most major airlines. It doesn't necessarily have to be related to aviation. Plus the ratings required to fly.

No college degree is required to be a pilot. However, it is highly recommended at the majors. You need to have a commercial license with multi-engine and instrument ratings to get a job flying for hire. To work for a regional, you need around 1000 hours of flight time although many are currently hiring with around 500 hours. At the majors you will need at least 1000 hours of Pilot-in-Command time. You get this time by being a captain. So by the time you get the 1000 hours of PIC you should have around 2500 hours total time.

Graduation from a pilot's school and having a pilot's license for one. I would imagine you'd have to have a certain number of hours or even years flying non-commercially. Google it and I am sure you'll find all the info you need.

You definitely need a college degree and some flight time experience under your belt. One of my friends was doing all that until he gave up on it and moved on to something else.
Google "airline pilot requirements" to see what comes up. Good luck.

The fly for one of the majors you need a 4 year college degree. If you choose to stay with a regional you do not need a college education, but it is highly recommended.
