I'm planing on saving up to get a 200cc dirt bike and my dad does not really want me to saying there is a good chance of getting injured. what is the chance of getting injured or dying on a 200cc dirt bike?

Dying? little chance.
Injured? a pretty good chance for a newbie.

It is like anything else, it depends upon how much respect you show it. I know someone who died from a 3 mph prat drop in a parking lot.

If you have the right gear and learn to ride with competent bikers/professionals, your chances of not getting injured are considerably more than if you just take it into the fields and open her up.
