I was just curious...Does FM radio get a good signal on the Metro underground in Washington DC?

Probably not since Law Enforcement Radios barely work in the tunnels.

Unless the tunnels are wired to receive regular radio FM signals you won't get a thing (you might get a faint signal when the train is in a station - and the station isn't too far underground).

I think that it is reasonable to say that the tunnels are not wired for regular broadcast frequencies, just train and police radio frequencies.

hell no, FM radio dose not work in deep level subways such as Washington. FM radio doesn't even work in the NYC subway expect in section that are elevated or outdoors.

now if you want make a cell phone call underground, forget about it, have your quarter read because you may have to use a payphone.
