Pay particular attention to verse 7:

Matthew 13:6-8 (New International Version)

6But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.

I think mainly because they are afraid to believe in something that they can't see. If they believe, then they feel they'd have to give up too much fun. And so many have been brainwashed and confused that they don't know what to think. The Bible is very hard to understand and they don't want to go to church to learn. If they can't understand it for themselves, then they think it just can't be real. And some think they've done so much wrong that Jesus would never forgive them so why not just have all the fun they can. Oh, if they only knew how easy it is to be forgiven. I pray for these people I answer on here. If I could lead just one to the
Lord, I'd be so happy that the devil lost one.

How do you know who he really was and even if he said some words how do you know it represents the truth?

it is not *ignorant* ofme to have a different view point from yours - but it is highly ARROGANT of you to call people ignorant because they see things differently to you.

John 3:18-21
18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

Of whose word mans, where the ignorants lies is in those that think God talks to man, he never has and he never will, even in our catholic faith we know this, all we hear today is the jump ship Christians that preach about things from the bible that simply are not true, It sickens me to see such ignorants in the religious world today, and we wonder why our religious societies are going to hell in a hand basket, may God have mercy on the insane religious sickos that preach untruths.

Perhaps it's because we knew it once and then started looking for evidence and found exactly.... none. Not only that but it shows how often "mis-information" is passed around as "truth" in the christian circles.
