I am sure that whatever written records existed from Adam passed down thru to Noah were also on the ark.
Moses later used those documents to write the book of Genesis.

The oldest books of the Bible were written by Moses, a descendant of Noah, so the Bible was not a book on board but others may have been.

Even Paul in the New Testament didn't have a New Testament; he wrote it; the Pauline letters anyway and all the others of that time wrote about Jesus and His works
