my brother wants a new car radio 4 christmas and he currently has the kenwood-x891 and i'm looking for a radio thats "better" than this with an affordable price.

he can install it himself so this will not be a factor in the price.

Doest that $300 have to include install. If so, you'll only have about $250 to work with, with that said, I'm a pretty big fan of the Pionner DEH-P7900BT. It's a pretty clean deck, and it has Bluetooth built in (not an add-on box), and it's pretty expandable. They usually MSRP fro $400, but if you watch the adds and browse around a little, I've seen some going or $250 and under.

Well the best VALUE is a used one from last years top of the line systems. They don't really wear out that fast and there are no really new features this year. You can get him a HECK of a system for a bargain price and then with the change have it installed for him.
