Wanting to be with someone is more important. Needing someone is important too so the answer is actually a balance of the 2. It's ok to Want them and it's ok to Need them. So long as it's a healthy amount.

with wanting you have choices.. you can
a) either be with the person
or
b)not be with the person
With needing you dont have a choice, it means you cant live without and if u do you will die.. or something really tragic will happen..
So by that i would say that needing to be with someone is more important over wanting..

I would prefer to be Wanted than Needed and vice versa. Need, in opinion, suggests dependentcy issues and low self esteem. You should never NEED someone like you NEED food and water to survive...if that is the case you have totally put yourself in a very bad situation where this person has complete and utter control over you mind, body and soul. As romantic as this may seem it is not....this person, it not a nice person, can totally manipulate you and control you.
Wanting someone is healthy. Of course this is my opinion.

You really don't NEED to be with anyone...
The only person you need to survive is yourself.
If you can't be content with your own company, you can't be content with anyone else.
Therefore the person you need (you) CAN be more important... unless you have family or children (people you WANT to be with) who you would take a bullet for.... in that case I suppose the argument can be made that the people you want to be with are more important.
Most people have loved ones whose lives they care for more than their own.
Therefore I would say that overall most people would find the people they WANT to be with more important.

I would say who I need to be with. I mean each person is different so it just depends. Who you want to be with is not necessarily who you need to be with. The person you want could be the last person you need. The person you need will help you grow and become the person you need to become in the end.

Ok I am a perfect example for this question. I was friends with this guy that told me he loved me he had cars, money, a 5 bedroom house, atv's ...etc. I wanted to be with him, dont get me wrong I liked the guy, But I started dating this guy who was poor had a hard time keeping a job, Treated me like a queen. I went for the poor guy, we are expecting our 1st baby and we are engaged! We have more love than most people and we are so happy with each other, So my advice for you go with the heart, no matter what!

I've never heard of somebody "Needing" to be with another person. Now, "Want" yes I've heard of that. I would say it is important to be with who you "Want". Remember sometimes who you "Want" to be with doesn't always turn out to be what you "Want" after all.

ookay. you don't NEED to be with anyone. you don't need a guy to make your life complete. well, some don't. in some cases others would probably suffer a terrible case of 'loneliness'.
the sun will still shine. you'll still be alive if you don't have a boyfriend. it's not a necessary in your life. you're not going to stop breathing if you don't have a boyfriend. that's crazy
life does not depend soley on some GUY
it's what we WANT. it's what our heart DESIRED.everyone wants to be loved by someone else other than family&friends.
everyone wants to experience love for it'self
and oh, i would not go with a guy because i NEEDED to be with him. i don't need to be with anyone except the one i WANT to be with
xoxo

depends on the situation, for example, if you want to be with the bad boy who does drugs and gets into trouble vs the good boy who is loyal and trustworthy.
I would do what ever you think will satisfy you, although I'd be careful, bc bad boys are fun for now, but not for the future...
