Any baptized Catholic man can be elected Pope.
An Eastern Rite Catholic would probably stay in the same rite but I really do not know about how the richness of diversity in the different rites would work out.
Eastern Rite Catholic Churches include:
Alexandrian liturgical tradition
+ Coptic Catholic Church
+ Ethiopic Catholic Church
Antiochian (Antiochene or West-Syrian) liturgical tradition
+ Maronite Church
+ Syrian Catholic Church
+ Syro-Malankara Catholic Church
Armenian liturgical tradition:
+ Armenian Catholic Church
Chaldean or East Syrian liturgical tradition:
+ Chaldean Catholic Church
+ Syro-Malabar Church
Byzantine (Constantinopolitan) liturgical tradition:

Any Catholic man can be pope according to Canon Law.
But, they are always chosen from the College of Cardinals, and I don't know if there are any eastern rite cardinals. Interesting question though.

Yeah, the eastern rite would have to be a cardinal. It's an exclusive club.

Considering how the cardinal-electors, all Roman rite, tend to pick from among their own number, it would be an uphill campaign. But good luck to him anyway.
