We have to. We better and NO to amnesty, not for anyone ever. We have all the immigration policies, procedures and laws already in place and they work. Albeit the system badly needs an overhaul, its ancient, outdated (electronic infrastructure) and extremely corrupt not to mention pretty slow but it does work. And it has worked, we just need leadership to reinforce it and make it work. Again, NO ON AMNESTY. NO AMNESTY. Go home and get in line. There is no such thing as unlimited resources anywhere and definitely not here.

Amnesty should not be considered. At all. Ever. We need to make this perfectly clear or we will /never/ stem the tide of illegal immigration: there will never be another anmesty.
There should be death camps before there is another Amnesty. Amnesty should be viewed as being that unthinkable an alternative: Should we consider Amnesty? I don't know - should we consider Genocide? No? Same answer.

To me, the fence is superfluous. As long as we don't eject the illegals already here, others will find a way to get in, even if they have to go under, or around the fence. Make conditions in this country utterly intolerable for those here illegally: no jobs, no schools, arrest and deportation if they are ever stumbled upon by law enforcement for any reason, and the illegals will not only leave, but new ones will stop coming, and then we can put up a fence.
The overstayers are not going to be deterred by a fence because they got in legally; they have to be deported when found, as well. We need to offer fewer visas of ALL kinds to people from countries that send people over, who never leave.
No other country in the world would allow itself to be overrun as we are being.

the fence still needs to be built. i say no amnesty though because a fence will not keep out anyone if there is still incentive for illegals to come and amnesty is incentive for illegals to come. there will always be hope for another unless we send the illegals here now packing. in addition we need to pass legislation to make employers match ssn's to employees, no anchor babies, no public assistance or schooling unless you are in the U.S. legally. also perhaps something along the lines of if you get caught in the U.S. illegally you forfeit any chance to become a citizen

It would be a great idea that will never happen as the politicians will end up giving into Mexico and the corporations.

Yes, Yes, Yes. Not only are we getting criminals, and they are breaking our welfare system, taking jobs from Americans, but they also are bringing in diseases, like TB for one. We are going to be taken over from within, just as predicted, if something isn't done and soon. Is it going to come to each of us taking up arms on the borders??
