Well. there IS no "history" of Jesus. All we have is a religious argument and a handful of third-party historical references to the FOLLOWERS of Christ. There were simply too many poor, itinerant rabbis for history to bother tracking. Since the method of spreading Christianity was mostly preaching to non-witnesses, it is possible that he was simply made up, a personification to sell a new philosophical system in which people are nice to each other. The ideas are good, even if the story might not be "real".

And even if Jesus truly lived, he clearly got a theological makover after he was gone. In Paul, we hear of a Jesus who died and "was raised" (passive voice) by God. By the time we get to John's gospel, Jesus was helping create the universe. The Christological evolution is obvious. Various Christian communities had very different ideas of what Jesus was and what he stood for, different enough to cause religious riots in the major cities of the Roman Empire DESPITE official persecution. We simply cannot determine whether he was real or not. But there is strong evidence that he wasn't who his is now.

Well because they want everyone to believe as they do.
Further because that would mean Christians are right.
Also means the Bible is true.
And that there is really a Hell
And there is the God that we will have to give an account to.

So it is just easier to close the eyes and plug the ears and say,

"I can't see Him so He is not there!"

Sad because if they only knew what am Awesome God Jesus is!

Man He died for our sins and rose again!

Truly if someone saved their butts they would be praising that person up and down.

Man: This guy named Joey just saved me from getting killed! He died for me! He is the greatest!
Woman: Awesome! He sounds really great!
Other man: Sweet! Tell me!

with Jesus...

Man: Jesus saved me from the Lake of Fire!
Woman: YOU DAMN MOTHER F*CKING CHRISTIAN!
Other man: BIBLE THUMPER! I HATE YOU AND JAYSUS!

Hmm. People hate Jesus who can save them from an eternity in the Lake of Fire....something we all deserve.

And they say GOD is evil?

Hypocrites.

Funny thing is. Many do not believe in Jesus because they do not know much about him historicaly.

But then....They believe in Chirstopher Columbus but worldwide scholars do not offer any concrete proof of where exactly he was born, and where exactly did he die.

They also want to present us and also believe a whole bunch of documentaries depicting the lives of prehistoric animals that they never even saw.

They also believe in what they call a healthy economy, when the poor has no budget to balance.

Because he didn't live.

All accounts of the existence of Jesus can be traced back to the Gospel of Mark (including the other Gospels) which was written as an allegory and was not written in the style of history (probably written around about 70 CE).

The non-Christian sources are either forgeries or just repeating the claims of the Christians (and long enough past the alleged birth of Christ not to bother disputing it).

They obviously have not read anything by Josephus. He actually mentions Jesus. And I quote "Now there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, for he was a doer of wonders. He drew many after him. When Pilate, at the suggestion of the principal men among us, had condemned him to the cross, those that loved him at the first did not forsake him, and the tribe of Christians, so named from him, are not extinct at this day (Antiquities 18:63-64).

Tacitus makes mention of Him:"Nero fastened the guilt and inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome..."

Pliny the younger talks about some of the information he has learned about these Christians: They were in the habit of meeting on a certain fixed day before it was light, when they sang in alternate verses a hymn to Christ, as to a god, and bound themselves by a solemn oath, not to any wicked deeds, but never to commit any fraud, theft or adultery, never to falsify their word, nor deny a trust when they should be called upon to deliver it up; after which it was their custom to separate, and then reassemble to partake of food--but food of an ordinary and innocent kind.

The Babylonian Talmud talks about Christ's death: On the eve of the Passover Yeshu was hanged. For forty days before the execution took place, a herald . . . cried, "He is going forth to be stoned because he has practiced sorcery and enticed Israel to apostasy."

Thanks for asking this question. I'm doing a school project on Archeology and the Bible and you helped me find some sites that I had never seen before but really helped me on my way. Thank you.

Also, when we consider the role of women in first-century Jewish society, what is remarkable is that the empty tomb accounts would feature women as the heroes of the story. This demonstrates that the gospel writers factually recorded what happened even if it was culturally embarrassing.

If you do not want to know the truth you just try to run away from it and do whatever you can but the truth is always there so all they doing is running in circles and one day they will appear before Jesus Christ

To anyone who doesn't believe Jesus ever Existed, I have a book for you, and no, it's not the bible; read Tacitus' Histories. It's a third party reliable source. Believe what you want about him, he did exist, in the province of Judea, and was counted in the Roman census.
