C-17 all the way on cargo. It's got modernized avionics, a full suite of countermeasures, got a heavy cargo capacity and the ability to land in austere conditions as well as perform touch and go style drop offs of equipment without ever actually landing.
range, versatility, numbers, cost, and more make it a GREAT cargo craft

C-17. i work on C-130's, and trust me, most of 'em are headed to the bone-yard at DM. They were awesome planes in their day, but most are reaching the end of the line. The C-17 can do everything a 130 can, but carry more and go faster.

C-130. The mighty Hercules has never let me down, unlike C5s which break everywhere but where you WANT to be delayed.

Has to be a toss-up between the C47 and the C130. Both have had very, very long careers. They gotta be good when they stay in service that long!
