There was a big list of things you could without (i pod, comb, soap, family) and the teacher said there were three things you couldn't live without. The class got down to four : God, faith, testimony, and gospel.
Which one should be erased?

Well, considering the Gospel includes the doctrines of faith, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, developing a testimony, putting your trust in the Atonement of Jesus Christ, you could erase either faith or testimony and still have them included in "Gospel." All true prophets of God testify of Jesus Christ, so the Gospel and God must be inseparably connected (in my opinion, as a Mormon). People can live without a testimony, but if they live without faith in something they are on the verge of despair, so I would say testimony, but then you would have to realize that eventually a testimony will be necessary due to the fact that the world is moving towards the end of times and the Second Coming. If you have faith first, then a testimony can be developed. So I would side with the people who said "testimony."

Testimony

Because if you have God in your life then you have His true Gospel as well. With this comes faith that God is there for you AND that His Gospel is true. You need those three before a testimony can develop.

Should be? None. But if I had to choose I would erase testimony. You could have God, faith in God and follow his Gospel and be building towards a testimony.....but take away one of the others and you have little to build on. So, erase Testimony.

If you have faith, you believe the gospel, and so you have a testimony, and you then believe in God. So you cannot live without Faith.

Out of those get rid of faith...because Testimony encompasses and supercedes it.

Alma 32: 18 Now I ask, is this faith? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for if a man knoweth a thing he hath no cause to believe, for he knoweth it.

For example...since I KNOW God is real...I no longer have to exercise faith...to me it is just a simple fact...A true testimony is knowledge...and like Alma says...if you already know a thing...there is no reason to only "believe"...because you "know".

I see it as only one thing.

My testimony of the Gospel is my Faith in God.
So what is there to erase?

Gospel, that is one thing you can live without. As long as you have God, faith and testimony you should be good.

God is the central figure in who you worship.
Faith is your guide
and testimony is your answer.
Gospel you can let go of in this fantasy class thingie.
