think of this ... even typing this- tears are flowing. I was wondering if anyone knows of any home remedies or anything ... anything.at all that could cure or even slow down this disease. I really don't know what I would do without her ; as I'm sure everyone feels about their mom. I'm only 22 ... I don't think I can handle this; emotionally I'm a wreck. Probably more than she.

My heart really goes out to you and your mother! My daughter and I are going through th same situation. She is 25. I had surgery in October for uterine cancer. I am recovering in her home and treasure this time we have together! We laugh and enjoy each other's company as much as possible. She is 8 months pregnant with my granddaughter and my grandson is only 16 months old. Her husband left her a few months ago. When I found out I had cancer, I wasn't scared for me but for her being all alone. When I shared this with my Pastor she reminded me that God loves her even more than I do and He promises to never leave her. He has always been faithful to me. My advice to you is 1st pray! 2nd go to www.needymeds.com. I work with needy people at my church and have helped many people get their meds totally free. Please check into this. The only things I have heard about fighting this with nutrition is that cancer thrives in an acidic environment. She needs to cut down on red meat and pork. Also she needs to eat oranges and grapefruit (no grapefruit while on chemo.) Even though these are acidic apparently they don't cause your system to be acidic. Also, sugar helps to set up a toxic environment as well. If your mom feels well enough it helps to get exercise because a low oxyegen environment encourages cancer growth. Go to www.caring4cancer.com, click on the message board under the topic "nutrition". It is very informative. You will be in my prayers.

I,would be very careful on testing home remedies, for in my opinion if their were any cures thru home remedies, as in over the counter meds, then I feel everyone would be doing the same thing.
Yes,of course you cry, and should. My Mother passed away from cancer and I was only 16 yrs old but that was long ago and I miss her still today.
Please, get in touch with the American Cancer Society and get into their support groups. If you dont mind, May I keep you all in prayer?
My very deepest and sincere empathy goes out to you. I am very sorry that your Mother has cancer. I hope they can cure her of this for they have come so far in the past years.
yes, you should cry that is normal. She needs you too. As I am sure you are a blessing to her.
God bless you.

Its hard to believe that people can be denied treatment because of costs - its hard enough to deal with cancer even with the finest medical care.

Its probably best to pursue financial support instead of home remedies -there's no effective home remedies for most cancer. Some states have assistance programs, and some hospitals will work out payment programs. There's some places to start at these links:

If you live in the United States check if Medicaid is a possibility. Also the drug companies give people a break on the cost if they have no insurance. They usually require you to fill in an application and a doctor has to sign it. You might check with a social worker in a hospital. They usually know about things like this.

Go to cvs on line, there is some paper work that you can fill out to help. Supposedly the pharmaceutical company's will give you free meds or at a lower price. I know where you are at, I have been fortunate enough to have lots of Friends and family helping me. The church set up a fund raiser for me to help pay my bills and expenses. They had a auction and sold BBQ plates to help raise money. Also check with your doctor they also can recommend to the pharmaceutical company for free meds. Its a shame when you get old or get sick and there is no help out here. Just soon as you think there is help, someone throws a road block up. I tried to file for SSI but was unable to get any help. You almost have to be living on the streets to get any help. I'm sorry to hear about your mother. I will pray for you and her. Good Luck. Also check into getting her on disability. Go to the social security office and they can help advise you. God Bless~

if your superb pal's mom lost her husband final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, and this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days she reveals out her daughter has terminal cancer, she is grieving and particular feels that anyone is leaving her. anyone approaches those issues in any different case and could no longer be attentive to a thank you to precise what they're feeling in a fashion that's understood by employing those around them. i could recommend that the mummy touch an enterprise noted as 'Coping'; your superb pal could income from 'Coping' too.

OK, Go to www.institutedc.org and download the gov. booklet there. Now scroll down to the drug your Mom's doctor wants her on. There is a telephone # under the medication, call it and tell them you want an application for the free medication. Take the application to her doctor to sign, then hand it in. She will receive the meds free or at low cost.
this is not advertised, but pharmaceutical companies do hand out free or low cost drugs based on need. then they simply turn it in with their taxes at the end of the year.
And she can see a doctor at a free clinic, look one up for her now. If there is not one in your town, look for one is the closest city. Ask someone from the Salvation Army to drive you there.
Hope you get the care you need for her.

Well, there are legal ways to liquidate income and assets to qualify for medicaid. Laws are different state to state, she would need to talk to a social worker for this info. There should be a social worker that her doc can refer her to within the hospital she is being treated at.

Beyond that, yard sales and bake sales and the like. Talk to church and civic groups for donations. Ask local business owners to collect change jars. And if she is comfortable go to the news.

The social worker will also know if there are any national or local charities to help you.
