I'm not an immigrant, neither is most of my family, come to think of it, I don't hardly know any immigrants. Most people were born here, thus making them non-immigrants.

It would be more accurate to say that they are nations with a 'rich history of immigration' or something like that.

The majority of American citizens (and an even greater majority of Canadian citizens, I would suspect), are natural-born, not naturalized. Thus, neither could be honestly called a 'nation of immigrants.'

Though, America is certainly a nation with too many illegal immigrants.

Both are "nations of immigrants" because, with the exception of the First Nations (natives) we are all either immigrants ourselves or descended from immigrants.

Canada allows its immigrants to retain their home cultures, provided thay can still speak english or french in order to communicate.

Whereas America Insists that all new immigrants MUST become American - speak perfect english with an american accent, and play american sports, wear american clothes, and NOT look different.

Very few countries are not nations made up of immigrants. It's just the way illegals and their enablers justify not only encouraging more illegal to come, but to demand rights that are not their's to have

Because most immigrants came here legally. We are a nation of immigrants, not a nation of illegals. The two have nothing in common.

It can't. Its just a corny slogan thought up by politicians who pander for votes of recent immigrants, both legal and illegal.

If you really think about it, every land on earth is populated by people whose ancestors moved there from somewhere else, ultimately Africa, where they say the human species originated.
