I have straight hair, and it's not thin either. it's quite thick actually. I always wanted a beachy wave to my hair like the olsen twins have, or jennifer aniston. I read to try salt water in my hair but that doesnt do anything to my hair but kill it and it's STILL straight. If i use enough gel, my hair gets barely curly, AND it looks unnatural and crunchy.

so if anyone can give me tips on getting wavy, natural looking hair ( keep in mind i have straight thick hair so its unmanageable to many things unfortunately )

THANKS! <3

OMG! I totally have the same problem as you! I have REALLY think longer hair also and this is what I do!

This does take awhile longer (when you first start),but it will be worth it because it looks totally GREAT!

What you need:
2'' Curling Iron
Blow Dryer
Heat Protector Spray (you can get it a durg a stores)
Curling Gel (any kind, but Aussie works great)
Finshing Spray i.e. Hair Spray,ect.
Hair Bands

What you do:

1. Get your curing heated up
2. Get your hair bands and split your hair into three parts
3. Spray in the heat protector
4. Start the curling
5. After all that is done, put in the curling gel
6. Take the blow dryer and flip your hair and blow dry your hair that way..
7. Finish with a light hold hair spray

Trust me it soulds like it will take forver...but after awhile it will only take a few mins. This WILL give you beach wave and it looks good the next day, just when you get up put some more curling gel in it.

Hope I Helped You Out Some! Take care=)

Purchase & use shampoo & conditioner. w/ volumeizers. After combing or brushing your towel dryed hair, hild your head upside down & scrunch it w/ your hands & massage your scalp, vigorously while doing so. Use volumizing spray by Pantene while doing this as well. Go to sllep on it. It the morning, it will be wavy some. Do not brush it, just go. Or try rolling it in foam curlers before bed.

Well if you want waves for a few days without damaging your hair, after you wash your hair, braid it it medium size braids. Leave it like that over night. When you wack up the next day let the braids out and brush your hair. Thats all.

My friend has what sounds like similar hair to yours, she scrunches her hair with gel after she showers, puts her hair in a messy bun, and then sleeps with it in, in the morning she takes it out and rescrunches quickly with some mousse, sprays on some hairspray, and viola!

Try curlers then spray garnier sprits (to make your hair shine and too not make it dry or crumpy)
just try that for now.

Getting a perm can get waves.

Of course that might not be considered natural.
