I get cold VERY easily comparing w/other people. I live in the hills which gets pretty chilly but I wear like 3 upper body layers, sweatpants, socks &slippers. I need the heat at minimum 69 degrees at night &feel most comfy when I have my heat pad on to fall sleep. During the day my parents want the heat off so I need my portable heater on next to me.
I do cardio & resistance 1-4 hours a week &was a world class athlete my whole life, laying off about 7 years ago from hardcore training. I am 23 yr old female, 5'6'' 142 lbs- definitely NOT skinny &i think my circulation is fair. I drink plenty of water, dont smoke &i think i got my thyroid tested a few yrs back- no deficiencies anywhere. My mom was diagnosed recently w/both hyperthyroidism and hypothryoidism...i hope this crap isnt hereditary, but again i havent been told in all my yrs of seeing doctors that I have a single thing to worry about. I eat extremely well 95% of the time.

Can anyone figure this out?
Thanks so much in advance

Considering you do exercise regularly, it sounds a bit fishy...when people don't exercise, they feel colder because they have a slower metabolism/slower circulation....

it could be a thyroid problem.

Are you cold ALL OVER? I have something called Raynaud's syndrome, where I have very poor circulation to my feet and hands...it's to the point where if the house isn't at around 70, even if I havent been in the cold at all, my toes will turn white and numb, making my whole body feel cold. Sound familiar at all?

I am female and have been cold all of my life at 114 lbs or 185, it makes no difference.

We live in Florida and have the heat come on at 73 in the winter, I just get so cold if I don't. 79 in the summer.

I do know I am Hypoglycemic. I eat about every two to three hours, not a lot but I have to eat to keep my sugar levels up and stay reasonably warm. I can be sweating in the summer from 95 degree heat and still be cold inside.

My Mother was Hypoglycemic also. Google it and see if this sounds like your symptoms.

My Doctor says few people actually have a 98.6 temperature.
Take yours each day to get an Idea what your core temp. really is.

I do have an Under active Thryoid and am on the meds. also.

Good Luck, Just eat well. I crave carbs myself.

You're no longer pregant, so toss that thought out the window. What you will be ache from is a situation known as "Hypothyrodism." What is "Hypo" No, it is not a disese as a way to depart you eyeless or armless. It's a situation headquartered with the Thyrod Gland (The butterfly formed) for your throat. Basicly, what that is, is a situation which reasons the acids for your belly to collapse quicker than natural, inflicting men and women (generally ladies) to end up obese. It's relatively usual honestly, so do not believe you're by myself on a abandoned island if you happen to do have this. Sadly, there's no in a single day therapy or magical wand where you'll wave to end up natural. I've had Hypothirodism for a minimum of 7 years, and I have stumbled throughout many which might be within the identical boat as I am. Remeber, speak on your general practitioner approximately Hypothirdism! Hope this is helping!

You could get your thyroid rechecked. Sometimes it doesn't show up the first time around.

I feel for you. The cold weather SUCKS!!! I get hives and wheeze and have pain when I get cold.
