I just want to know because I'm still thinking of where I'm going to go this winter.

I have skied in Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts,
Connecticut, Maine, Colorado, Utah, California, and Washington and Idaho. I don't know where you are coming from or what your ability is, but Crested Butte is very nice. Stratton, VT is pretty nice if they have snow. Deer Valley in Utah is very, very nice, but doesn't have the variety of terrain that Crested Butte has. Breckenridge is a very good area and has an interesting town. If you want some night life commute up from Denver, Salt Lake City, or go to Lake Tahoe.

There are two places I go most often. Living in NY, my skiing is limited to the northeast.
When I go on a daytrip, I usually go to Belleayre Mountain because it is only about 3 hours away from my house. It's great for a daytrip with short lines and great trails.

But, there is one place I go for longer vacations which is just wonderful. It's called Smugglers Notch. It's in VT and you can see it at smuggs.com. There are three mountains and yes I love it! It also has the apres ski factor with great condos and resturants. Look up Stella Nottes if you go there, it has the best food!!!

What part of the country are you in?

I've skied Tuckerman's Ravine in NH, Squaw in California, and nearly every area in between.

Post more details, and if I've been there, I will let you know.

ps: I think Utah is the best though for powder and terrain.
