If you ever change your beliefs here on R&S between two very different beliefs, would you be ashamed and create a new profile or continue with your old profile and be proud of your change?

Why would I be ashamed?
The only reason I would change what I believe is if I learned something new that would effect those beliefs. There is no shame in learning.

I would get a new profile and start over voicing my new beliefs. It's not that I wouldn't be proud of the change, if I genuinely converted, but it would be easy for one to look through my Q&A's and see the contradiction between past and present. That would discourage them from taking me seriously in my answer and lower my credability. Another option is to set the Q&A's as private, but I still might be remembered so I've have to change my name and avatar as well. The first option is just easier.

Good question! Star!

If I changed my system of belief, I wouldn't see any reason to be ashamed of it. I'd keep my old profile and tell people why I had changed my mind.

Why would you make a change that you couldn't answer for? If you truly believe something, then why would you be ashamed of others finding out? You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything.

Everything changes.
Why should people be expected to stay the same?
You are no different.
Wait, what?
Sure you are.
And it's okay!

I love contradictions.
And the more you look into contradictions, the more you see that they are not really contradictions at all.
"Contradictions" compliment eachother.

No I switched paths from Kemetic to Heathen. It was WAY more complicated then that and if anyone wishes to ask me how and why, I'll tell them.
My originial nick was Daughter of Isis, then just Daughter, and now Heathen Daughter. I heard the gods. *shrug* what can you do/

Well, I'd be okay with expressing that change. Especially since there would be no way in heck I'd ever become a Christian. I'd be cool with anything else.

I would continue in this profile. Why lie about it? Never going to happen though.

It's OK to come to a different perspective as long as it is based on truth and not emotion.
