I have a collection of older Bear recurves because my father sold archery and hunting equipment for many years thru his own company. Fred Bear recurves like you are describing have been selling for $40-$60 each on average. I see them quite often at Gun Shows and Outdoor Recreation Shows up and down the east coast. They are a prized item to traditional archery collectors. I'm surprised, but no one has designed a website or web page that lists values on recurve bows as yet. The Bear "Grizzly" was a very popular bow in it's heyday..Fred Bear was an industry leader and a world renown Bowhunter known for his world wide hunting skills and accomplishments. If you ever get the chance check out the Fred Bear Archery museum in Gainesville,Florida...

Every penny, the bow is a classic and holds it's value. Older bows of the same model are still selling for $300+
