They want acceptance of religion but when you except belief systems they can build into more than you expected.

No. America is not a Christian country either and was never founded on Christianity. Many of the founding fathers were Deists. It would be good if Islam and all other religions were taught in schools because it would foster peace, tolerance and unity among people of different faiths. How else are we going to stop all the violence if not starting in our schools?

America is not an Islamic country. It is the one of True secularist country where all religion treated equal. Even India even though we say secular it is not. It treats minority with extra provisions.
In my view Islam should be taught in school so that we can control terrorism. In schools all religion basics should be taught to increase the tolerance of other religion
All the best for you

I've never heard about this request.
It'll never happen. Thank goodness. Can you imagine what would happen if religion WAS taught in schools? There would be court actions left and right fighting about WHAT religion should be taught. This is the beauty of separation of Church and State.

They want it?
There's a long standing drive to get religion and creationism into schools. But very little demand for Islam.
In the United States, under the Constitution, a government school, often referred to as public school, cannot teach religion, christianity, islam, whatever. Private schools can do as they see fit.

You are saying two different things. No we are not an Islamic country. We are a country of choice.
Baptist, Mormon, Protestant, Catholic, Church of God, Buddhist, Islamic, Methodist and any other I haven't listed.
We were established as a Country originally based on freedom of Religion. That is why our Money and our country says "IN GOD WE TRUST".

Hello,
No, you'd think it was pagan because the first thing you think about when you hear about America is the Statue of Liberty which towers above the tallest steeples and minarets for that matter,The Statue of Liberty's obviously classical appearance (Roman stola, sandals, facial expression) derives from Libertas, ancient Rome's goddess of freedom from slavery, oppression, and tyranny and sits right on government property. Why is it there then?
Cheers,
Michael Kelly

Ummmm....what? I wasn't taught any religion in school except for the few years I went to a private Catholic school.
What Americans do you "keep getting"?
And I hope you're not serious about your last question. You must be a troll.

America is not an Islamic country, but Radical Islam plans to take over America. This is why you see there religion pushed so much in America and Christianity is currently being pushed out.
