Yes. And jokes aside, it can be really downright painful to deal with someone who has this mentality. Especially if they are in a position where they have and use some kind of power over you. And them looking after themselves, is very destructive to you personally.

Yes, but most people are like that. They only think of the important stuff at the time of dying, when it's just too late. Go out and enjoy life while you have it, but don't be selfish.
