I'm a 20y/o male and I really need some more bicep workouts:

I currently know of the following and rotate throught them, doing two repeatedly every other day, changing weight as well.

1. standing dumbbell (changing shoulder angle as well)
2. concentration curls
3. hammer curls
4. preacher curls
5. cable curls
6. bicep machine (i don't use this often)
7. standing easy bar curls (changing grip widths)

In addition I never work my tricepts, is this holding my biceps back??

thanks a lot for your help!!

ok... damn I lift chest shoulders abs and back as well, not just biceps

I also run 25mi./wk so I consider myself well rounded.

You need to go with the highest weight you can do at good form for about ten reps. If you are using weight that you can go more than ten reps before muscle exhaustion, then you need to go up or you won't develop. Also, you definitely do need to be working your tris as well. The two muscles work in tandem and one can't be really well developed without the other. Tris are easy to work, and you'll use less weight, at least to begin.

Yes, sir that is one problem. Also try holding the barbell with your hands the other way and do a curl. This is more effective to the outside bump of the bicep.

Sounds like you need to focus on your ENTIRE body, not just your beach muscles....chicks notice when a guy has well developed arms and little stick legs, you know.

Dude, what the hell, you cant just work one body part. That puts a strain on the muscles around it.
