will my mom and dad get something that tells them what i went to the doctors for?? because im still on their insurance?? please help me out... its super important!

because im 18 and pregnant and im 10w and 1day and i dont want to tell my rents until my boyfriend and i have our first ultrasound. so we know that everythings ok.

Yes, they will get an explanation of benefits in the mail. Also, MOST, not all, insurance companies won't cover a pregnancy for a dependant other than spouse. In other words, it is unlikely your parents insurance will cover your pregnancy. After you go to the doc your parents will probably get a letter from the insurance company telling them your claim for prenatal care was denied and they will know you are pg and you will have to pay for the drs. appts, tests, etc.

Get an insurance card from your parents, if you don't have one, and call the 800 number on the back. They will probably want your dad or mom's social security number and date of birth. Asjk them if they cover prenatal care for a dependant other than spouse. If not, you need to get to your local DHHR, welfare office, and sign up on medicaid. It will cover your pregnancy and your parents won't need to know anything until you are ready for them to know. Best of luck!

Yes... everytime I take one of my kids to the dr I get something that says how much the insurance covers and what it was for.

well yes and no it will say you went to the doctor and where you went and it will show that you had an ultra sound
