How about it? If the US maintained an open immigration policy with the stipulation that you must be able to meet the immigration policies of the nation you are leaving wouldn't that be fair. After all look at Canadian immigration and their education requirements or how the Mexican Government treats Central American's.

One of the biggest complaints all the pros seem to have on the boards is that there wouldn't be this issue if there was a more fair policy. I simply wonder what would be fairer than matching their own countries policy?

No policy will work unless it is respected and enforced. (I do see your point about Mexico's glaring hypocrisy, though.)

All America needs to do is enforce the current laws much like every other country on earth does when it comes to people sneaking into the country using document fraud to have work. Buying fake SSN'S and demanding 100's of fake cards be credited to illegals retirement fund of collecting social security

How do you figure? We already have open immigration,and its not working,How do you know if people crossing the border have good intentions? Im scared to be an American because anyone can cross the border,You obviosly are confussed.

no we need a more strict boarder policy and we need to not allow anyone into the country anymore until the mess is cleaned up, i realize this would put peoples lives on hold but we are ruining our country allowing people to come in as they want.
