I know someone who is trying to get a green card, but used a fake Social Security number while working in the U.S. Will this affect his approval?

I don't think it will help. He's been in this country undocumented and plus he cant prove that he has been working. He should just go back to his country and try to do the whole process from there, i don't know if he will receive a green card, but he can try.

Don't let them do it. They will get into a lot of trouble. If they are trying to get a green card, they wouldn't have a social security number to begin with? would they?

i used to work at jack in the box a long time ago, and i remember one of the ladies that worked there got fired or took away or something because they found out she had a fake social security number. but she worked there for atleast 6 months. so i guess it worked at first, but somehow she got caught.

That part is forgiven when they have the US citizen petition for them. However I sent you an email about his multiple entries which do hurt the case.
